Solo2Go 1-Port Wi-Fi Pixel Controller
Solo2Go 1-Port Wi-Fi Pixel Controller
Description
Tiny controller, real power.
Solo2Go is an ESP32-based pixel controller for builders who want one clean local output in the smallest RGB2Go controller format. It ships with WLED installed, works with xLights, supports 5V, 12V, and 24V 3-wire pixels, and can grow with RGB2Go expansion modules.
Built for compact props
One local output makes Solo2Go a great fit for small props, portable projects, test fixtures, and places where a larger controller is more than you need.
Beginner-friendly WLED
WLED comes pre-installed so you can connect, configure your output, and start testing without compiling firmware.
Room to grow
The expansion header supports add-on modules such as Ethernet, Differential, SD Card, 4-Button, IR Receiver, and Audio-Reactive modules. Modules sold separately.
What it supports
- 5V, 12V, and 24V pixels and strip, using 3-wire data only. No clock/data pixel types.
- 5V data output through 33 ohm resistors.
- WLED effects, presets, segments, playlists, and network control.
- xLights use through WLED-supported network protocols.
- Optional Ethernet, Differential, SD Card, 4-Button, IR Receiver, and Audio-Reactive modules through the expansion header.
Power layout
Solo2Go uses one DC power input for the controller and the local pixel output. Set the voltage jumper correctly for your pixel voltage before powering up.
Important power-up safety note
Solo2Go does not have reverse polarity protection due to its small size. Always double-check positive and negative power wiring before applying power. Reversed polarity can damage both the controller and any connected pixels. Power the controller with no pixels connected first, confirm polarity and settings, then plug in your pixels.
Recommended pixel counts
The ESP32 can drive a lot of pixels, but performance depends on pixel count, frame rate, effects, Wi-Fi quality, and your layout. For a smooth beginner experience, start smaller and grow once everything is working.
For runs over about 200 pixels on an output, plan on proper power injection or reduced brightness. The local output limit is 5A max.

Open source firmware
Solo2Go ships with RGB2Go-branded WLED 16.0.1 firmware. This firmware is based on WLED and is licensed under the EUPL v1.2 or later. Source code is available at github.com/jasonsomers/RGB2Go-WLED. Version-specific source is available through the tagged releases in that repository. More WLED information is available at github.com/Aircoookie/WLED.
